Local 1

Behind the full golden color you’ll find an alluring aroma, a dynamic complex of flavors, Belgian flair, Brooklyn fortitude and a dusting of our special yeast. To create this beer, they used the old technique of 100% bottle re-fermentation, a practice now rare even in Europe. It gives this beer a palate of unusual depth. Enjoy it locally or globally, as an aperitif or with your favorite dishes. 

Stony Brook Red

Distinctive, enticing and complex. This unique brew builds from the inspiration of Flemish reds, and combines an earthy sourness and hints of dark fruit with a rich maltiness and touch of toasted oak. These flavors are rounded and deepened by the barrel aging that adds a hint of toasted oak.

Stony Joe Mocha

Stony Joe is a Golden Mocha Stout. It is designed like a traditional Milk Stout but without using the typical roasted dark malts. Instead they used a boat load of rich, decadent golden colored English barley, flaked barley, flaked oats, and flaked wheat to give it lush body and smooth sweetness. They then ferment it on Cocoa Nibs and add fresh locally roasted Guatemalan Coffee, directly to the fermenter. The cocoa nibs and coffee add the rich mocha notes and bright roasty/coffee aroma you might typically find in a stout. 5.5% ABV

Trippel

This golden beer opens with a bold blast of spicy Noble hops, courtesy of Saaz and Hallertau Mittlefruh, and gives way to the fruity aromas offered by our traditional Belgian yeast. Brewed with Pilsner and Munich malts, Trippel is classically smooth and complex, and sings with a high-note of sweet citrus before a pleasantly dry finish delivers a warm, strong boozy bite. Give Trippel a sip to get you smiling.

Sure Shot IPL

Tempered by a cool ferment, this low ester hop expression takes dead aim at your senses. Citra and Amarillo, a can't miss combo of hops, are dropped deep and heavy in the whirlpool to hit the lupulin target. A steady handed dry hop addition shoots tangerine, peach, and papaya aromas. Flavors follow, citrus medley and peach. Light, dusty cinnamon-like bitterness on the finish.

Mass Rising

In the spirit of local history Jack's Abby is revolting against the status quo. They are writing their own story by fueling the fire surrounding extra hoppy beers. They infuse Mass Rising with increasing amounts of American hops during the kettle, hopbock and dry hopping processes. Together, they have taken a journey to redefine the term ‘lager.’

Melange des Mures

Saison, soured in foudres, aged on Marionberries, a type of blackberry, in wine barrels for 6 months. 6% ABV

Little Wolf Pale Ale

Named for the translation of the hop plant species “Humulus Lupulus” which got it’s name because it was small but feisty. We think this beer fits that description pretty well. This Pale Ale was brewed with barley, oats, and a fine blend of hops featuring Horizon, Citra and Mosaic.

Belgian Cider

A farmhouse blend of local apples fermented with a Belgian Abbey Ale yeast. This cider invokes the characteristics of preferred Belgian beers with notes of tropical fruit resulting in a smooth creamy mouth feel.

2x4 Double IPA

According to Melvin Brewing Co., this is the best damn DIPA in the world. So if you were even considering sulking today, think again. Their 2x4 Double IPA is the Gold Winner of numerous note-worthy awards, including the Alpha King Championship; two years in a row and counting. You’d be crazy not to drink this. So close your eyes, open up, and experience the mad floral, citrusy, and clean taste of hop talent. If you don’t love it, no…you will.

Hazy Bastard IPA

Blue Point Hazy Bastard IPA is a juicy, unfiltered North Eastern-style India Pale Ale packed with tropical flavors and herbal aroma. Double dry-hopped and boasting a total hop rate of 3.5 lbs/bbl, this cloudy IPA has a full mouthfeel and a strong, lasting hop character.
